Switching to the excellent 'i41CX' app instead (available from the Apple App Store) provides for a much superior user experience. Overall, this app is poorly put together and effectively useless for programming. For aficionados, the app's calculator image is only vaguely reminiscent of the original. Four module ports provide access to HP-41 expansion pacs. Calculator features: - Functionally equivalent to the HP-41C/CV/CX.
It is a functionally equivalent to the world famouse HP-41C/CV/CX calculator. The stopwatch function does not clock actual real time and is thus of no use. my41CX is an advanced programmable and expandable RPN Calculator. However, when running programs, the calculator is quite slow, even compared to the actual HP-41CX calculator from the 1980's. The app comes loaded with advanced modules, such as 'CX TIME' and 'CX EXT FCN'. However, any entries made in programming mode inexplicably reduce this back to 49 registers - or less (depending on the number of program lines entered at that stage). On first use, or after memory purge, the number of programming registers sets out with the expected maximum (319) for this calculator. A Dragon 32/64 and Tandy Coco2 emulator that supports most Linux operating systems. Exiting and re-opening of the app erases all programs already written. The emulator is too unstable to be useful for programming.
